Sunday 13.08.23 came, day 59 of pregnancy. Mali had no appetite, so slept and panted from morning to afternoon. Then there was some green discharge; a warning sign. After a conversation with the vet on duty, we went to the on-call where, after a check, it was decided to have a caesarean section. The smallest of the pups lay in a horn alone, and the placenta had detached; hence discharge. The operation went well, and it resulted in six healthy puppies. 4 bitches and 2 males. Status after one day; Mali comes to her senses more, and understands more about her job as a mother to the little ones. The puppies nurse and sleep, gain weight and seem content.
